The project was a fast track design build of a Jurisdictional reservoir, lined to hold approximately 1M Barrel (128 AC-FT) of fresh water. The client owns water rights and associated wells and a distribution pipeline, along with other fresh water supply ponds. These ponds are utilized to serve fresh water demands of the surrounding oil and gas industries as well as livestock and wildlife water. Due to WURX performance on other Client projects WURX & WHCE was awarded this design-bid-build project. The construction consisted of approximately 130,000 CY of excavation and controlled compaction fill, 37,000 SY liner installation, outlet works and load-out facilities, access road construction, fencing, and supply piping. Excavation was inhibited by undetermined rock formations requiring additional resources. Design, permitting, and Construction of earthwork was performed in a period of less than four months.
