This erosion control and fish passage project was contracted by Wyoming Game & Fish with US Forest Service to restore the function and address erosion of a high elevation irrigation ditch located on US Forrest Service land. The project consisted of regrading approximately 500 feet of ditch, importing large boulders and placing woody vegetation and root-wads to restore the function of the ditch, and repair the erosion. The design was a natural geomorpholic design using both hard armoring and large wood and natural vegetation to restore the function. Removal of failing sheet pile drop structures and fish barriers. . Reclamation and construction included live staking willows, and using woody debris to encourage reclamation and inhibit unauthorized vehicular traffic.
