This fish passage project is part of a multiple decade long project in the Muddy Creek Watershed for stream restoration and reclamation. WURX was contracted to create 2,700 feet of new stream channel construction using machine control to construct and restore a geomorpholically functional channel, fish barrier removal and reclamation of the existing stream channel. This project improves riparian habitat, restores fish passage and improves stream function. Project site was situated in a remote location with logistaical challenges for import of aggregate for engineered channel. Construction completion September of 2022. SERCD, BLM and Trout Unlimited have all inspected and approved our work, with good praise.
