WURX, LLC successfully completed Phase III of a multi-phased stream restoration project on Savery Creek, located directly downstream of the High Savery Reservoir. The overall project area is divided into 13 reaches; Phase III focused on the restoration of Reaches 4 and 6, totaling approximately 2,000 linear feet of stream channel.
WURX self-performed all construction activities using our own crews and equipment, without the use of subcontractors. Key components of the project included adjusting the channel’s width-to-depth ratio, installing rock and log vane structures, applying toe wood treatments for bank stabilization, and using onsite vegetation for bioengineering and riparian enhancement.
This phase of the project improved channel health, enhanced aquatic habitat, and supported long-term watershed function. WURX coordinated closely with all project partners and completed the work on time and within budget.
Project was a joint eff ort for multiple organizations including Trout Unlimited, Bureau of Land Management, State of Wyoming WWDO Office, Wyoming Game & Fish Department, Little Snake River Conservation District.
